| My dearest Whitney,
Listen closely,
And I will tell
A story that I think
You will come to know well.
You are asking yourself
And it is not rare
"Is there really a Santa
Out there"?
He lives each day
In the hearts of young kids
He's just like us elves,
No not in the dolls
That fill toy store shelves.
He helps us learn
That giving is best,
Giving with love,
Deep from the chest.
He's helping us know,
How to take time to care,
To help someone out,
To take time to share.
In this he's like Jesus,
Showing us life,
Helping us through,
Moments of strife. |
In life we must
Always believe,
In our parents, ourselves,
Our brother, our sis,
In hard work and in God,
With these we can't miss.
So have heart and no fear,
I am your elf,
I hide every night
In spite of myself.
I send up to Santa
My best thoughts because,
You live in a house
That is filled with love.
Love,
Lindy the little red elf.
PS: Just because you can't count the snow flakes
Doesn't mean it didn't snow,
That you can't add up the sand grains, doesn't
Mean there's no beach, to build sand castles,
To take your sister in the waves, and to lie in the sun;
We live millions of seconds and waste many.
Count your seconds; enjoy your days.
You're a terrific ten year old |
